Just a quick question for anyone who may know the answer. I attended SMC about 3 years ago and did awful getting 2 Fs and 2 Ds. Afterwards I transferred over to a LACCD jc and retook those same classes I failed and got 3 As and 1 B. I talked to the SMC counselor and she told me I couldn't apply for academic renewal because I already took the equivalent classes at another college but if I'm transferring to a UC or CSU it wouldn't matter because they would look at the new grades I received. Does anyone know if this is in fact the case or was I being misinformed? I'm worried having those 2 Fs and Ds on my SMC transcript is going to hurt my admissions chances. Thanks in advance.
