CSU -> UC/Private Possible in One Year?

Is it possible to transfer from a CSU to UC or four-year private school in just one year?
I'm considering UCLA, UC Berkeley, and Occidental College.

I've been reading on the forum that it's very difficult... but here are my basic stats:

-high school gpa: 4.1, 3.8 unweighted
-college fall semester gpa: 4.0, or probably 3.8 at the lowest
-sat 2260, act 33, took/passed 9 AP exams
-major: English
-TONS of high school ec's, several college ec's with one leadership position
-taking 17 units this fall and 17 units next spring

I want to transfer to a school with legitimate, challenging courses for my major... the CSU that I'm at right now isn't the perfect place for English majors. I wasn't really planning on attending here for the fall, if it wasn't for a scholarship they offered me, as well as some other things that will probably take numerous lengthy paragraphs to explain.
If you have any other suggestions for schools that I may have a chance at, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks so much!

Easier and preference given to community college students over CSU or UC transfers.

yes, I am aware of that, with all the threads here regarding that subject. However, I was wondering if I do still stand a chance?.. I don’t think my stats are terrible, per se.

Yes it is possible. You have better luck with privates.

A girl from my scholarship group had an unfortunate mistake on her fafsa and had to turn down harvery mudd freshman year. She went to CSUDH for a year, owned faces, transferred to Vanderbilt.

And that’s from CSUDH.

You have great HS stats…just keep up your GPA and you should do well in transfer admissions. Sorry that I don’t have any specific advice. Good luck!
