On a side note, does everyone’s portal say this : Thank you for applying to Cal State Fullerton. We have received your application. No admission decision has been made at this time. Please click on the ‘View All To Do Items’ hyperlink for more details.

Yes… Been “patiently” waiting… Seems odd how long it is taking, but then again, admission decisions are expected to go through mid-April. At least according to the email response I received from the Admissions Dept.

It is really long to be fair. But mid april? Woah. That seems frankly excessive

Agreed! It does seem excessive.

wait I thought April was only for transfer students?!

That’s possible, as I am a transfer student. I had not considered that there may be different dates for freshman.

I think the majority of freshmen still have not received the acceptances yet.

If only there was some sort of official list we could go off of. At least a tally or report on how many have been accepted and approximately how many more slots remain.

I have a question. I didn’t get any email but checked my portal and this is what it says for me:

We are pleased to inform you that after an extensive review of your coursework, you have been offered a place on our waitlist for the Fall First-Time Freshmen School of Nursing program. If you accept your waitlist offer, you will be placed on the School of Nursing official waitlist. The School of Nursing will be selecting the top students from the waitlist. Waitlist ranking is determined by eligibility index (test scores and GPA). The School of Nursing will start selecting students from the waitlist soon after mid-March.

How does this work? So if you apply for waitlist, the SON still has to choose from there? Do nursing applicants get acceptances already or do applicants get waitlisted at first?

Edited: Apparently they are admitting students directly into the program instead of waitlisting all top candidates.

Since this is true, then according to your email you have been waitlisted and need to opt into the waitlist and hope that accepted students will have other offers and decline their admission at CSUF, thus opening spots up for the waitlisted applicants.
