I applied the first week applications were open and it still says no decision has been made at this time.
I am a sophomore looking to transfer in fall of 2017!
I am still waiting on my Fall 2017 transfer decision as well. Please let me know when you hear any updates on it. Good luck!
I’m also waiting for my decision
What major did you apply for?
I’m waiting as well! Has anyone heard of acceptances being sent yet?
@mattmhs I’ve heard of people who got provisionally admitted, and I know a few locals who got admitted as well. I’m waiting for decisions too! What’s your CSU GPA and SAT? Intended major? Are you local?

Took them this long to deny due to impaction :’( We are in state but no local. My DD is very upset, stupid crowded state.
Are there people still waiting for their decision?
@allthatryry I’m so sorry. How frustrating.
Thanks @ManyXsBlessed it is very frustrating. She’s a good student and followed all the guidelines for coursework and gpa to make sure she could go to the one CSU that had her major (viticulture) and those damn low test scores are what made the decision in the end. Going to a CC and transferring doesn’t seem like it would change anything at this point since the campus is so impacted at all levels.
I would still highly consider that option if her interest is viticulture. We’ve had 2 sons accepted to Fresno State and our 3rd son is not as high achieving as they are. We are encouraging him to do 2 years at our local CC and transfer in. He is currently a freshman in high school. I think it can easily be done, we live 60 minutes from csuf and most kids here go to our CC and transfer in. I can’t believe how competitive it is everywhere this year, including the UCs. Kids with amazing stats getting rejected and wait listed. I really feel for you guys and believe we’ll be in the same spot in a few years with S3.
@ManyXsBlessed hello, would you know if csuf is impacted for psychology major? My daughter has 3.68 GPA and ACT 22. We still haven’t heard a decision.
I would call admissions. Decisions should be out by now, I would assume. Both of our boys who applied got acceptances within weeks of applying (Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering), but we are practically local so maybe that is why? Please let us know what you find out.
@ManyXsBlessed Thank you! I will call today. I think my daughter had a delay in hearing back due to them not receiving her 7th semester transcripts until Feb 21. That may have pushed her off a bit. Yesterday was last day to send in transcripts so I’m hoping to hear back soon.
@ManyXsBlessed the reason I don’t think a CC route would make a difference is because the transfers are just as impacted. I’m worried it’s only going to get worse over the next 2-3 years and then she won’t be able to get in again.
What other choices does she have available? Did she apply to other schools? I would think that as long as she does well and keeps her GPA up she would have a geat shot at transfering. I know it’s frustrating and seems uncertain. Keep us posted. Our son ended up SIRing with UC Davis but in a few years we’ll be doing this again with son #3.
What should I do if I still haven’t heard anything?
I haven’t heard back yet and it’s already April. I called the office and they said I might not hear back till before or on June 1st.
Hey, I’m still waiting too!
