I have been accepted into SDSU (Pre-Film and Television Production) and CSUN (Television Production) and am waiting on my admissions decision from CSU Fullerton (Radio-Film-Television). My goal is to get to UCLA but I applied to some CSU’s just in case I did not get in. I am hesitant on choosing a CSU because I know very little about them. I heard CSUN has a great program but I am trying to avoid the “commuter” feel of the school (and I know way too many people there since I am local). I was also not blown away by the visual aesthetics of the campus or my department. It didn’t look like a school where I could get the genuine college experience that I am looking for. Fullerton looks nice and I have heard good things about their film program as well, however, I heard that it isn’t very diverse and that is a slight issue to me. SDSU looks like my kind of school…but is it worth moving almost three hours away? Is the program worth leaving for two years? Please help! My top three questions that will impact my decision are:
- Which school has the better film program? (Rank if possible, please)
- Which school has the most school spirit?
- What makes one program better than the other?
***side note: I am aware of CSU Long Beach’s film program but I was denied.
Thank you!
