I am a transfer student and was offered conditional acceptance to CSULB for the fall of 2018. Today I got an email saying that my offer was “rescinded” because they “find that we were unable to confirm what you reported, and consequently, your offer of admission has been withdrawn”. Whatever that means. So I checked my student portal and it says the same exact thing, that they can’t offer me admission based on “official documents”. Everything I put on the application matched my transcripts and I even went back and checked the application. This SAME exact thing happened to me last year but it was because i dropped out of an english course that I said I was taking on my application. Has anyone else had the same thing happened or even know what to do? Its Friday so I can’t even call the school or go there until Monday. This was the only CSU I applied to and I’ve been trying to transfer for two years.
I’m in the exact same position as you trying to transfer this fall. this same thing happened to me and I just received the same email on Friday. I’m writing an appeal because when I visited the school earlier this month, I spoke to two admissions dept staff members who both told me I didn’t have to send in another transcript for April. and now because of them my offer has been rescinded! so the only thing I can think of is maybe you didn’t send a transcript when you were asked to? I’ve had to send multiple already which is why I wasn’t sure if I had to send another. maybe try sending an appeal with an official current transcript. also try calling and emailing admissions. good luck!
Hey! I’m afraid I don’t have anything helpful to say, other than perhaps the comfort that you’re not alone! I’m a first time transfer applicant, and accepted my admission to CSULB last month. On Friday though, I got an e-mail saying the exact same thing! When I followed the provided links, they claimed that my offer had been rescinded based specifically on my failure to not satisfy the B1b (Physical science) requirement… only problem is that I’m taking the requirement right now, and even expect to receive an A in it.
Hopefully it was just a glitch in the system, and we’ll be all sorted out Monday! I’ll probably keep posting! Good luck!
@mhole2 and @sfgiantslover what did you find out from CSULB?
