CSULB - Class of 2015

I got my rejection letter today :frowning:
Applied for Electrical Engineering with the option in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering.
Do they review EOP applications separately?

I’m not all that sad though since I got in Cal Poly SLO (My Top Choice) for Biomedical Engineering :D

Yeah, Im still waiting anxiously. =/ I call like twice every hour and even have my best friend [who has already been accepted] calling for me too. Everyone who I know that applied has already gotten either accepted or denied. =/ Not cool man, not cool.

hey, I don’t know if this was already mentioned…

but when the school contacts you whether or not you got accepted, do they send you an email right away? or does it come first only on the phone line?

I don’t feel like checking on the phone every like 2 hours. haha.

thankss.

Wow, you got into Cal Poly SLO, but not Long Beach??? Just wondering, what are your stats?

@reggie: I received my acceptance letter in the mail a few weeks ago, but I have never received an e-mail from CSU Long Beach. However, I did call before I received that letter and knew I got in that way, so it comes first on the phone.

@reggiexx: i actually got an email the day before i got my letter saying that im required to take the EPT/ELM placement tests, then at the bottom of the page it gave me my student id number. then i called the phoneline and found out i was accepted. so they sorta ruined the surprise lol, not sure if other people got this email too…

@otc2010

I have completed all 3 calculus courses with A’s in all of them, and I’m currently taking Differential equations, which isn’t required for CSU’s but is for UC’s. I’ve also completed an extra physics course, and extra chemistry course. When I call the admissions phone number, it says that they need my CC transcripts, and my military discharge papers, but they have my transcripts already. I talked to someone there and they said that was just listed as a required document because they will need updated transcripts for my grades from this spring 2011, and my military discharge once I’m accepted in order to use my GI Bill benefits, but not for admission purposes. Anyways, I guess I’ll just have to keep waiting, I just wanted to know if any other transfer students were still waiting, and if any Engineers had heard about acceptance yet.

What’s going on everyone =D I am an incoming freshman, admitted from the Bay Area, from Homestead High in Cupertino.

Just completed the housing app, paid for the initial payment online and everything. Does anyone happen to know about mailing CSULB the housing license agreement, contract thing? I’m under 18 and I need a parent to sign it, and mail it in, and whatnot. Are we supposed to send it in after we have been confirmed a bedspace, or do we just mail it in after applying in general? Much appreciated!

good job guys

didnt get in to lb or poly

community college here i come. i hate life

hey abstrakt, if you really don’t want to go too community college, Humboldt State University has open enrollment, so try applying there :)

thanks a lot for the help, blondie.

i wish the schools didnt wait so long to send me their rejections, thats pretty messed up of them.

is there a list of schools that are still accepting apps?

I got rejected. :frowning:
Anyways the rejection letter also said that Im qualified for special admission through EOP. What are the chances of me getting in? Im really anxious.

@CaliENGNR- I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t be accepted. My friend is an engineering major and she has taken up to Differential Equations and I believe the next math class after that. I believe that is the requirement for all engineering majors.

@thisisu, aramar328, Ethonggg- You guys should just just keep checking their phone lines. Hopefully you guys here from them very soon!

@TheAbstrakt- You can always try to appeal their decision, although the success rate for that is very low.

@Celebrated- I’ve never heard of this special admissions. What is it about?

Seriously, Ima be pretty ticked if all this waiting in anticipation leads to a rejection.

@ThePowerofOne Apparently if you signed up for EOP they consider you for special admission through that program.

Well I know that a lot of private schools have open enrollment. I know Cal Baptist does for sure. However, these schools are really expensive :[

Try starting a thread on here asking if people know what schools are still accepting applications. Maybe you’ll have some luck!

Here’s a thread you can look at :)

Does anyone know how fast the RLC dorms fill up? I just sent my housing check in a few days ago, so do you think that was too late? I really really want a spot at the RLC, so I hope I wasn’t too late :[

I hope there are still spots. IT makes no sense to me how it’s mandatory for freshmen to dorm there first year yet we don’t have priority. Some one explain this one to me.

BTW. Still no word. There goes RLC most likely.

Yeah seriously! If they want us to live on campus, they need to let us choose where we want to live.

Still no word? Just keep up hope!
