CSULB Freshman Questions and Concerns - Class of 2021

Hello all! As a member of CSULB’s Class of 2021, I have a few questions regarding campus life, academics, and just the overall CSULB experience. Additionally, if anyone else is planning to attend this Fall please feel free to contact me! I would love to get to know future fellow classmates

  1. For those of you in the animation/illustration track, what is the program like? From what I understand, it is a highly intensive course with a strong focus on foundational drawing.
  2. I was accepted in the university's Honors Program and I would greatly appreciate any information, in particular the classes associated with the program, as well as what dorming may be as an Honors student.
  3. Just out of curiosity, how is the Asian population on campus?
  4. Would you say classes are generally "hard" in terms of course material and the overall curriculum. During high school, I ended up taking a total of 9 AP courses (all of which I was able to receive A's in) and I was wondering how this would compare to courses at CSULB.
  5. Finally, are there a lot of students on campus during the weekends? For instance, for those that dorm, do many choose to stay on the weekends or do they opt to return home?

Thank you in advance for any information and I would greatly appreciate any further tid-bits that you may be able to provide. Hope to see you all in the fall! Go Beach!

Anyone?
