Hi there! I recently (yesterday) received an email invitation regarding the Honors Program at CSULB. I’m wondering what this might indicate since I haven’t even been admitted yet as an upcoming freshman this year. I’ve read about the various benefits of applying already. That being said, should I apply after admissions come out? In case I don’t get in the school to begin with, I’m wondering if it is worth my time begin to apply to the program early. Thanks in advance!
Several Cal states will invite applicants to apply for their Honors college prior to getting their decision. The invite is not a guarantee if admission but if you are interested, then I would apply. Is their a deadline listed?
Last year, decisions starting rolling out February 9. If you want to wait for your decision, that is fine as long as you meet the Honors college application deadline.
Thank you for the fast response. The deadline stated in the email is March 1st
Thank you for the info, my daughter also received the same Honors College invite yesterday.
Will there be a CSU Long Beach Fall 2023 Admissions - Class of 2027 thread?
Here you go and best of luck to all applicants. My niece is a 2nd year at CSULB, loving her academic and social experience at “The Beach”.
Thank you! I only have the one daughter, and this is our first and last go around with this process. Very stressful and can’t wait till it’s done. She only applied to USC, UC’s and Cal State schools.
My daughter was accepted today but didn’t have an honors college invite, though very qualified I think. Is this an early acceptance wave or just the normal start of decisions?
Not sure if this is normal or not. Was very surprised that decisions came out this early.
