As a transfer student, I only got into these two college: CSULB for computer engineering and SJSU for electrical Engineering. I still haven't decide what I really want to do for these majors but I'm really interested in both of them. I live in Orange County, California so CSULB would be a cheaper option but SJSU is in the heart of Silicon Valley and San Jose would give me a new life to start. At the same time, its expensive to move there, but money is not an issue for me.

Just curious, what you think about csulb and san jose state? I keep hearing mix review for both of them.

Well first you need to choose between the majors, then visit each school and decide for yourself. Reviews are mixed because people are differnt, and have different criteria for what makes a school “good”.

I know the Cal State Long Beach has a very good Engineering school and will hook you up with a job before you graduate most likely. San Jose State is also nice because of the area.

If I were you, I’d save money and go to CSULB. Just a personal preference because I’m not fond of being in loads of debt when I graduate. Just find internships and if you know what you’re doing, you’ll get a job in Nor Cal if you wanted to.

I’m sure it would be pretty easy to switch between EE and CpE at any school, so I would just base this decision on what school/area the OP likes better. A lot of people end up switching majors anyway so that shouldn’t factor into the decision for either college.
