CSULB Spring 2017 Transfer

Here are my stats:

70 Units after Fall 2016
Major:Marketing
Residence: Northern California
GPA: 2.99

Major: Liberal Studies Track I (transferring with ADT in Elementary Education)
GPA: 3.18, (With ADT it’ll bump to 3.28 i believe)
Golden Four: All four are completed with B’s in each one…
I have 53 units completed to this day, 13 this fall semester 2016 so by the end of this semester I’ll have 66 units for transfer completed. I already did my supplemental application and if i’m correct then CSULB won’t look at them until the 21st of September.

Somewhat similar boat as you

GPA: 2.8
AA-T degree: Psychology
I have 56 units completed.
Golden four: Completed with B’s.
Supplemental application completed.

I am just extremely nervous because I keep reading that many of the schools are requiring a much higher GPA. :frowning: hopefully all goes well

So they won’t give us a notification until sometime in October right? We can’t submit the supplemental application? They’re gonna look at them on the deadline on Sept 21 right?

Possibly a very stupid question, but what would be a critical thinking class? I’m interested in transferring out of state and my school doesn’t have any of the offered classes’ attributes listed as a critical thinking class.

@Testen31: Here is a list from Long Beach City college that fulfills the Critical Thinking requirement:

Major: Psychology
GPA: 2.98 (3.08 with AA-T bump)
Golden Four: All four are completed; 1 A, 2 B’s, 1 with AP credit
Supplemental application completed.

41 units completed to date, 12 units in progress. I was given 10 units from AP exams back in high school, so I’ll have 63 units by the end of Fall '16.
I’m also nervous, I’ve heard CSULB has higher requirements compared to other CSUs

My question is: Does it likely to take longer to reply to International Students? I haven’t got any reply from neither csuf nor csulb yet while some of my friends who are not international students already got accepted. And is there any hope for me with my grades like that? I’m extremely nervous… It’s almost the end of September already…

Got accepted today via application status check!!! First choice!!!
I live outside of local too so hopefully this gives hope to others outside of the area zone!!!

Just checked the status myself as well and got denied. I didn’t think the psychology program was that difficult to get in /:
But I’ve choose to commit to Fullerton, good luck to you all who have yet to check

justr been accepted thru app status and offered admission

Anyone that checked it and still get the same message of waiting till Mid-October?

@csulbhopeful24 they send that to everyone until they do a accept/deny. Just keep checking daily until something is updated. I checked every day for a week and finally got accepted this morning. Stay hopeful!

I got accepted. Congrats to us! I’m so happy haha

Is anyone here get accepted but he/she is out of town?

@IvanDeMasago I did yesterday and I live near the Pasadena area
