That’s great! I hope you win your appeal! I’ll be sending mine in Monday or Tuesday of this week. What documentation did you provide with your appeal once you sent it in? What did you say in your appeal?
thank you! and i only submitted my unofficial transcript and ADT verification. i said how i live near by and why i wanted to attend the school.
Ahhh, nice! I’ll be sending my unofficial transcript in as well. I don’t have an ADT verification though. I live in LA county similar to you I believe, but I’m not right nearby. I would have to move if I go to CSULB.
Did you get an email confirmation saying that they received your appeal after you submitted it?
yes i got it 2 minutes after submitting it! theres a 60 min time limit so i prepared my 1300 words on friday and did the whole appeal in 15 min. also yes, i go to el camino college in gardena so it’s nearby where i don’t have to dorm. it’s also a reason why i don’t wanna go to csula or csuf cuz it’s too far plus traffic sucks.
I noticed on the appeal form you can’t copy and paste responses. And they limit what you can say to only 1300 characters so I created a longer statement explaining more in-depth about what I have had to overcome and have far I have come. Would you live on campus at CSULB or off-campus?
exactly why i had to type it last Friday jic i go over the limit. and i would but it’s too much money and i don’t necessarily need to since I’ll be living with my uncle who lives 15 min away.
If they accept my appeal and admit me, I would have to move closer than where I live now. I hope I would be able to find affordable housing nearby. On-campus housing is wicked expensive.
Where else did u get accepted to if csulb thrn u down? Did u apply to slo?
i got accepted to csuf, csula and csudh. and no i only applied to four.

3.3 transferable. 3.17 overall. After this semester will be like 3.53 transferable and 3.39 overall. Fingers crossed.

ya but i have 63 unit and most of major prep done. it was about 8-9 or 10 for csulb plus 2 other upper division classes. think i could’ve did 2 more history classes so 12-13 major prep. and i have my adt in history in progress complete in spring.
the only problem is cost of living in la/lb or whatever. i live in norcal. finna have to get grants/scholarships which i applied to. and financial aid. as well as my entitlement grant. you get urs yet? 5k for transfer.
I just submitted my appeal (Wednesday 2/24/2021). I am awaiting the confirmation email which would bring me peace of mind. Now all I can do is wait 4-6 weeks for a decision to be made.
