CSULB vs CSUF Animation program- Fall 18 transfer

Hello everyone!

So I got admitted by both CSULB and CSUF as a transfer student for Fall 18, but I am still debating which school I should attend. For CSULB, I applied for BFA illustration option in animation, but I think didn’t make it so CSULB offered me BA in studio art. I can use one more attempt to apply BFA if I end up choose going to CSULB. For CSUF, I applied for BFA Entertainment Art/Animation. CSUF will review my portfolio after or during my first semester there. Now I am placed in BA Studio Art program as well, if I pass the portfolio review I’ll get into BFA(for CSUF I have 2 attempts).

I am still debating which school to go because based on what I read online, I don’t know anyone who studies in animation major at either CSULB or CSUF :(. I feel like CSULB has better networking and connections. It’s also a prestigious school with low acceptance rate, so I kind of don’t want to miss the opportunity they offered. But I don’t know what animation studios CSULB partners with and not sure how good their animation courses are. However, I feel like CSUF has more comprehensive program, also they partner with Dreamworks Nickelodeon, but in contrast to CSULB, it’s networking and location are not as good as Long Beach… so I feel like there would be less opportunities. But I don’t know anybody in these programs so it’s hard to decide from the info online :frowning:

Could anyone give me some suggestions, please? Any comments will be helpful!!! I really appreciate your help :)!

Can you tell me more about CSU Long Beach versus CSU Fullerton? Is Long Beach better than Fullerton?

I got into CSULB as a Studio Art Major and I will be applying for the BFA later on just because the animation program there has be come one of the best out there.
