CSULB vs. CSUN (grad. school for CS)

I've been been accepted to the graduate schools at both CSULB and CSUN for Computer Science. I live in west hollywood and like my location and wasn't really planning to move. It's ten minutes closer to CSUN (30 min) than CSULB (40 min) but ten degrees cooler at CSULB. Otherwise the schools appear to be the same size. I hear that both have many nice looking girls, but maybe more smarter, artsy girls at LB I'm thinking and I think that there's more master's degrees granted at LB and so maybe that means they have a better program there, but on paper the grad. schools are difficult to compare!! Does anyone know which would be the better choice considering that I'm studying computer science? THNX!

I’m looking for the same information!

Since you’re from that area, how can you explain Northridge to be like? I mean is it like a neighborhood of LA or more like a neighbor city?

As a CSU ranking, CSULB is considered as better than CSUN.

I advise you to carefully consider the program you’re going to enroll in which it meets your needs best.

Good luck

I don’t think the area around either of these schools is exceptionally attractive. I could be wrong on this, but from what I gather from a visit to each and research, it seems likeCSUN is in the middle of the valley and although there may be some decent neighborhoods around, I imagine it is pretty boring around there compared to where I live in west hollywood, which has excellent shopping, dining and nightlife. I hear CSULB is located in a slummy neighborhood and clearly there’s no glamourous beach, only a huge industrial harbor, but the campus is beautiful and there are many places to go out in the area for dining and nightlife. anyway, that’s the way it seems on the outside but if anyone has more info, I’d like to hear it… thnx!
