Hello everyone,

So I will be an incoming freshman this 2013 fall at CSUMB and I am very interested in their UROC (Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center) program. From what I see on their website they have two individual programs: McNair Scholars and LSAMP.
For anyone that has been part of either program or is familiar with it, which program is more beneficial in the sense of research? They both strongly welcome first generation low income students, and promote STEM research. I am majoring in SBS (Social and behavioral Sciences) with a minor in Biology, or I might even change my major to Biology; however, I definitely want to be part of UROC. I will apply to both programs but I want to know which program is more beneficial in the long run and is overall more engaging in order to prepare you for graduate studies. Thank you all :)
