CSUN 18'FALL ADMISSION IMPACTED

Has anyone been admitted to an impacted major that’s a transfer student out of the local area. It’s easy admission if you’re local but I’m transferring from another CSU. My GPA is 3.65, last year a 3.7 was the cut off.

Help?! I’ve been calling and they say they don’t have a GPA cutoff for Fall 2018 yet.

Not yet, I’m a film applicant. One of the most impacted programs at the university.
Is the 3.7 GPA cutoff by school or for the whole CSUN?

Mine is 3.95.

Im a transfer applicant who isn’t local, I applied as a film major, which is very impacted, my GPA is 3.62. I’ve heard so much about a 3.9 cut off the past 2 years so I’m hoping it isn’t the case this year.

Last year it was 3.7. It’s on the website. They messaged me saying we won’t know until the end of March or April.
That kinda sucks because I’m currently enrolled in another CSU and I need to know by March 20th to see if i should take another semester or not.

Transfer applicant here. Film also! And non-local. I’m nervous about this cut-off as well. The information I’ve seen on this has been really unclear. My GPA is a 3.54 so I really hope the 3.7 thing isn’t a hard cut-off.

Even when I call the school, everyone has different opinions. So we can only play the waiting game this month and april.

Any news? Im sill just on applicant.

they said we won’t probably know till late march or early april:/

I got in!

where u local or non local and on an impacted major? this makes a huge difference

Have anyone heard back from the film department? I’m tier 1 and I still haven’t.

Hey guys, I’m a non-local film applicant applying next year, 2019, for CSUN. Has anyone gotten in with under a 3.7 GPA?

Mine current GPA is high 3.5  not sure if it’ll go up though.

Nope, the minimum they require for non-local is 3.7; they’ll auto-deny you
