Got accepted, but I still haven’t received information about my financial aid. I just need to complete the dependent verification, is that the reason why i haven’t gotten it?
Just to answer the FA questions:
CSUN takes FOREVER to go through all of the FAFSA forms and such so it’ll be a few weeks before you hear anything back. I think I waited four weeks last year. Also STAY ON TOP OF IT! Do not wait until the last minute to turn anything into the office!!! Handle it early so that if there are any mistakes, they can fix them before the deadline! Also get your student ID soon! Pretty much, take care of everything early or else you will be very frustrated. The admin is very friendly and helpful but sometimes they can make you run around in circles, and it isn’t fun considering how big the campus is.
Got news this morning. I did not get accepted but I also did not get rejected. They told me I must send in my transcripts again once this semester is over. So I have to wait another 4 weeks.
Has anyone in a impacted major or business major get in yet? I am still waiting, I am getting impatient.
Uh I think I’ve been declined but I want to call them they’re not avaliable on the weekends. I’m not sure what they mean by:
"However, an additional review of your eligibility will be completed upon receipt of an official, updated transcript. Transfer admission criteria can be viewed at CSUN Admissions and Records Apply Upper Division Transfer Student "
When do I even send them the transcript is it my current one or what
I got the same thing. I think you must send the final transcript whenever your semester is over and grades are finalized. The last day to send it is July 13th.
I’m a 2018 fall transfer student and my major is impacted Kinesiology sport studies and in my portal it still says applicant and I have not I have not received anything. My to do’s list doesn’t say anything.

For anyone that has been accepted, under your status where it says “Student” does it say
“You are a Sophomore for the Fall Semester 2018.” or that you’re a junior? I’ll have 60 transferrable credits by the end of spring, which will make me a junior in the fall, so I don’t know what’s going on.
I’ll call, but I’d like to know if anyone else is in the same boat
@lynsnicket I as well have the title that I am a sophomore. I think once we send them our last official transcript then it will be fixed to Junior.
Hi @lynsnicket mine says:
"Status

You have indicated the following major(s), minor(s), certificate(s):
CTVA - Provisional Film (Major)
Applicant
You have applied for Undergraduate admissions as a Transfer Student for the Fall Semester 2018, as a Resident. You have indicated an academic plan of CTVA - Provisional Film.
Congratulations, you have been provisionally admitted to CSUN. For more information, visit CSUN Admissions and Records Admitted Students.
You have registered your intent to attend CSUN for the Fall Semester 2018."
I already have 64 transferable units until Winter 2018, 80 until the end of this semester. Even though I can’t transfer that much!
It’s probably just a technical glitch and will change as we finish this semester.
@urban_delights I called and they said exactly what you said lol
@lynsnicket lol glad I could help ! (:
Last week my daughter called to confirm her AP scores had arrived. The person on the phone said they had and she would be auto-admitted (local candidate, non-impacted) as soon as the scores synced with the application. She kept checking and today it said she could not be offered admission but would be reconsidered after this semester’s grades were in. She called again, told the person on the phone about last week’s call and the person went to check and the call dropped. So…she called again, new person checked and said she’s been accepted and her portal should show as much by tomorrow. We’ll see.
Those of you with similar messages or if your status still says, “applicant” you should keep calling.
