I’m applying as a transfer to csun as a film production major. I checked to see if they need some sort of supplement or portfolio but the only thing coming up is a portfolio application for last year? I also checked the requirements for this major and it says you only need to meet the gpa. Are they not making you turn in anything this year?
The way they work their film production program is that you must apply for upper division standing to continue in the film production major. They haven’t required a portfolio of freshman for at least the last four years, the portfolio is for current students who want to continue as film production or for transfer students. They admit about half the number of students to upper division production standing and the rest can complete a film studies major. It’s something about being part of the CSU system, they can’t ask for supplemental materials. My daughter was admitted three years ago and that’s how they explained it to us then. She didn’t enroll (she’s at Chapman now) but my son applied for Fall 2019.
Well actually I AM applying as a transfer which is why I’m asking where I can find the portfolio application ^^
Got it. My understanding is the creative supplement is only for currently enrolled students so once you arrive on campus you submit it to contine in the film production emphasis instead of the film studies.
