csun or csula

What are your experiences with being accepted to either cal state northridge or cal state la? Are they difficult to get into?

What are your Stats and are either school in your local in-service area? (locals get priority).

Check the links for each school to see the average accepted GPA and test scores to gauge your chances.

@Gumbymom Im a CC transfer with 88 units and a 3.2 gpa. I dont believe im considered local to either schools as im from ventura county. I’ve been told by mannnny that ventura county transfers are not considered priority. Thank you for the reply and info!

ohdeerme- I am in Ventura County also and many, many people from this area attend Northridge. I think with your GPA, you would have a very good chance of transferring. My son has a friend who just transferred there with a simiilar GPA. I know that CSUCI is closer to the west end of the county, but for those in TO, NB Park, MP, and SV Northridge is often closer. I don’t know about chances at CSULA for those from this County.

Assuming you’ve taken the correct courses, CSULA should be no problem, Northridge, probably will as well.

that’s soo great to hear! after changing my major I was worried about my racking units, and have aways been under the impression that too many units were a bad thing. I looked into csuci, I live in ventura, but sadly they do not offer my major. the only 2 close universities are csun and csula

Sorry for the confusion since I assumed you were a Freshman not a transfer. Next time be more concise when asking questions and based on your GPA, I agree with @NCalRent’s assessment of your chances. Good Luck.
