CSU's different from UC's???

I know for UC's, if you sent one SAT/SAT II/ACT score to them, they send it to all the other UC's. Are CSU's with the same system?? Do they accept Letters of Rec? And what AP credits can you transfer? And do they do superscore? (Best scores at any sitting?) They don't require an essay right?

Have you looked at [CSUMentor[/url] ?

Most CSUs just use the eligibility index (a formula of GPA and SAT CR+M or ACT) to admit applicants until the major or campus is full.

AP credit at CSUs is described here: http://www.calstate.edu/acadAff/codedmemos/AA-2011-12.pdf](http://www.csumentor.edu)

For list of AP credits you can get with the CSUs go here: http://www.calstate.edu/acadAff/codedmemos/AA-2011-12.pdf

CSUs do not use SAT IIs for admission. You send your SAT scores to CSUMentor, the site where you apply on-line for the CSUs. CSUMentor has its own SAT code. All CSUs will then automatically get them. CSU Mentor does not have an ACT code. So for ACT you send your ACT scores to one CSU to which you are applying. After the score is received, you go on-line at CSUMentor and use a tool called ACT Scores Manager to designate all the CSUs that should receive the score.

CSUs superscore the SAT and the ACT but they do not use the writing scores from either test. You will find that information on the page comparing the UC process with the CSU process: http://www.svhs.santacruz.k12.ca.us/01/PDF/csu-uccomparison_001.pdf

So also, for UC’s if I send an ACT score to any UC, will they give the score to the other UC’s??

For either SAT or ACT for the UCs, the only thing you need do is send the score to any one of the UCs to which you are applying and others will get it automatically.

they don’t need a letter of rec?

Both the CSUs and the UCs state that they do not want any rec letters.
