<p>every year approximately 50% of the Hopkins applicant pool participated in a CTY (Center for Talented Youth) program. </p>
<p>Doing CTY does not give you a stated benefit for admissions, though it does look good on your resume.</p>

<p>Wow, this is an old thread ... laxfan04 hasn't been around for a long time. (She was a student who worked in admissions and was the one who interested me to CC.)</p>
<p>That 50% stat is actually not accurate. It is more like one-third of our applicants had some affiliation with CTY while about 10% had attended a CTY program.</p>
