Last year, they posted on social media accounts just prior to release. Late in the day b/w 4-5 MST.
If the poster who called and was told late last week or early this week was given correct information, then it seems like it should be today. Probably around 5 p.m. MST. Fingers crossed!
What theyâve done in the past (which explains the high acceptance rate) is accept those students who applied to the highly selective majors/schools but didnât make the cut as Exploratory Studies major (no major, really) in the school of Arts and Sciences, instead of rejecting them. Engineering, CS, a few other majors are highly selective.
In addition, instead of awarding merit scholarships only based on GPA + test scores (a simple table), they are doing a holistic assessment for every deserving student, which has to be incredibly time consuming and subjective.
They just put up an unrelated tweet about spring virtual tours. They seem to usually only put up one tweet per day which makes me wonder if today is actually the day since they normally tweet about decisions before releasing decisions. HmmâŠ
5pm MT right now⊠iâm gonna assume they arenât coming tonight ?
My in-state son just got his acceptance into the Aerospace program.
GPA 4.6 UW/4.0 W
ACT 36
Strong ĂC, but not science/engineering related (performing arts), leadership, rec letters
He still has auditions for their music program this week.
He got a smaller merit scholarships than his sister 2 years ago who had slightly lower stats, thatâs a bit disappointing, but very excited to have been accepted into such excellent program!
Congratulations to your son! I wonder if this means they are doing engineering first this year, or possibly very high stats kids. Anyone else hear anything?
Congratulations!! Did he get an email or did he randomly check his portal?
Thank you! He got an email. I think itâs possible they only released the engineering decisions!
Congratulations! My son applied EE through early action (OOS) and there are no updates in his portal as of a minute ago. Fingers crossed!
Is he out of state ?
We are out of state for ME and no updates either.
Nothing in my instate engineering daughterâs portal.
A lot of CU acceptances last year came out around 5pm on January 20th. At the same time a lot of universities tend to release decisions on Fridays. So either today (January 20th) or Friday (January 22nd) are what Iâm thinking based on what theyâve done in the past. I applied out-of-state EA for Business, still waiting to hear back. Good luck yâall!
I forgot to put this on here last night but I was accepted at 5pm. Iâm in state and got into the biomedical engineering program. Kinda confused about why everyone didnât get a decision at the same time though.
Are there any out of state psychology majors who have heard back?
Are you by any chance a Boettcher semifinalist?
Statistically it would be a complete anomaly if Boulder was to not release EA decisions today. Someone on here indicated that the official admissions people said that decisions would be released early this week at the LATEST. On top of that some decisions were released yesterday further proving the point that decisions are highly likely to be released today, statistically.
Once decisions are out and people start posting, itâs helpful to include major, basic stats, instate or out of state, and scholarship amount. Good luck!
Yes I am. Does that have anything to do with it?
