Should I go to CU Boulder or SBCC then transfer to UCSB?! I really want the college experience and I feel that going to a Community College would ruin that. On the other hand I love the atmosphere of UCSB more and would event try to transfer to USC which is my first choice!

Out of State for both.

Why is the choice between Boulder and a community college? Are you concerned that you won’t get into UCSB as a freshman?

BTW, in general, I don’t think it’s smart to pay hefty OOS tuition for a community college, unless you have no other options.

No unfortunately UCSB isn’t a choice as a a freshman

In that case, I’d say go to Boulder. At least there you will get the traditional 4-year college experience; something you’ll miss out on going to community college/transferring.

Thank you for your input :)

What is your situation? What are your stats?

What is your home state?

What is your budget…how much will your parents pay? UCSB costs $50k per year for an OOS student. If you’re parents won’t pay that, then that school will not be affordable.

3.0 gpa
26 ACT

If your parents will pay $50k per year for any school, then there are some that will accept you.

I am aware of the costs, right now I am just looking for input on what will be more beneficial and a better education/college experience

hey i am in the same situation as you. what are you deciding? i might go to sbcc also

I think I’ve decided on CU
