Hoping to hear from student (or parent of student) with experience in transferring from the Exploratory Studies program into the Leeds School of Business at CU Boulder. My son was not accepted directly into Leeds or Pre-Business and was instead offered enrollment into the Exploratory Studies program with the option to attempt an Intra-University Transfer after his freshmen year. He’s researched all the transfer criteria, but the question remains how viable is this option really. There’s obviously no guarantees, but it be nice to hear from someone who’s been there done that. How likely, or not, is it that you’ll be able to transfer in assuming you meet the criteria?
Were you able to get any more info on this? My son applied Exploratory and has since figured out that he really wants business. Just came out to the boards to see if anyone had info on how to do that.
My son is in exactly the same predicament. We had a virtual visit with the admissions counselor and she said its common that they IUT but no guarantees. Early apps are up 40% to 2 years ago and 14% to last year. I asked about course availability to ensure he could get the courses he needs to get to Leeds. She said all the same things it says on line (not much help to be honest). I asked about possible last minute offer to Leeds to pre business once places are accepted etc… she said no this doesn’t happen.
