CU Boulder vs. CU Denver

Hello,
I´m a senior in high school and I can´t decide which school to go to next year. . . A diverse campus is extremely important to me. I´m from San Diego, California a beautiful, liberal, diverse city. I love learning about new cultures and meeting new people with unique backgrounds and personalities. I love my high school, there´s school spirit, all the teachers and students are friendly, kind, and accepting. I love California and leaving makes me sad and nervous, therefore I want to go to a place where the community is similar to the one I already love (don´t get me wrong I´m excited to go to Colorado)… So I guess my question is out CU Boulder and CU Denver which university most likely fits this description.

Compared to California, you will find Colorado very white, although there is a huge Latino presence; in Denver there are also African American and Asian communities.

Of the two, the Denver campus will be more diverse, as will the city.

However, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend CU Denver – it’s largely a commuter school (although there is housing) and its school spirit isn’t terribly impressive, in part because it shares the campus with two other schools, Metro State and Community College of Denver.

If you’re looking for a dynamic school environment with a traditional campus, sports, clubs and a strong sense of identity, Boulder is the place to go. (It’s also a very beautiful campus in a very beautiful setting.)
