<p>How much are they worth in like applying to colleges and stuff...</p>

<p>i have learnt over 10 years worht of indian carnatic music, and i have give small performances, but i have had no opportunities for winnign awards or for large scale concerts or anything....</p>

<p>and now with the work load i have, its hindering my studies....so does it help at all to put indian music on my transcript or in my essays or is it a total waste and wouldnt help me at all???</p>

<p>if it shaped who you are, put it in. and it is great that you are devoted to it (10 yrs), it shows commitment. also cultural activities actually look good on college apps, because it is out of the ordinary, rather than the same old same old. it makes your apps stand out.</p>
