Cum Laude society

The "awards" on my transcript has recently been updated with Cum Laude society membership, but no one has mentioned it to me, nor do I know what it is or if it "means" anything. I've looked at the website, which doesn't say much, but just wondering if this is worth sharing on a college app or not.

Cum Laude at my school is a graduation reward.

Cum Laude: Is 3.25GPA or better
Magna Cum Laude: Is 3.5GPA or better
Summa Cum Laude: Is 3.75GPA or better

Cum Laude means something like “academic achievement” in latin, I never took latin so I don’t know. The GPA scale I said could be different at your school.

no… different thing… this is a society, i think for the top 10% (at your school)??? i have a 4.0 UW.

Cum Laude- with honors.
Magna Cum Laude- with great honors.
Summa Cum Laude- with highest honors.
I’m pretty sure this is the proper translation, and if not then it’s quite close…

Seems just like an award to me.

now, back to my original question… is it something worth putting on my college app?

Sure, I don’t see why not, I mean, even if it is fluff, it won’t hurt.

I’m so immature. I couldn’t help but laugh at this thread. Dear lord.
Alright.

But, yes I think it’s worth it to put on your appp.
