Since there hasn’t been an active thread for this for a few years, I thought I’d start it up for anyone who wants to talk about it? Results for finalists will be out sometime this month, and then there is some more info you have to submit

Are the finalists revealed on Feb 1st or something? I just want to make sure because i am bit nervous about it
Finalists will be revealed sometime at the end of this month or possibly beginning of next if there are more people @yoshi24 they didn’t really indicate it but last year it was late jan. After this we have to submit another essay and a rec, so don’t get too nervous lol.
Just got an email from them saying that I’m a finalist, so I guess they just released finalist results today.
Anyone have any idea how many recipients they pick from how many finalists?

@Quijote And they choose 130 recipients. I don’t know how many people were notified as finalists though.

I’d read about the 130 recipients thing, but haven’t heard about the number of finalists either…
I’m a finalist as well I don’t think they’ve released the number of finalists so I have no idea. 130 is a lot of scholarships and usually around 1k people apply?
I received an email yesterday notifying me that I am a finalist.
Everyone make sure to submit their materials by today
Any clue as when the finalists will find out whether or not they got the scholarship?
@MindsOverMatter Just checked the email they sent before–
“All finalists will receive an email notification in April.” It’s the very end of the email about the requirements that were due feb 1
I really hope that it comes early April at least. In some past years, people were notified late March.
I got written notification that results will be released later today.
Decisions were out almost an hour ago, at least for the winners good luck everyone!
Does anyone know if th check goes directly to the school?
It will be mailed to your permanent home address.
I got it! This is the second outside scholarship I have won after applying to soooo many! I am so thankful.
I still haven’t gotten the check yet. Anyone else?
We haven’t either. Hopefully it will come this week, if not I will call.
