Cumulative gpa or gpa of only uc transferable classes?

Hello everybody, this is my first post and I was just wondering which gpa ucla or any other uc looks at for transfer applicants. I have mostly A's and B's for all the UC transferable classes but I got a C in trig so I was just wondering if they looked at that.

nope, only UC transferable. I was in the same spot as you. I just coasted in trig, the moment i found out that it doesn't even go into my UC GPA.

Actually it depends on your major and what college your are applying to and even sometimes which college within the college that you apply to. Some programs use just your UC transferable grades and other use your overall GPA for admission. Heres the link that can answer all your questions University of California - Counselors. Most programs will only use your transferable GPA but there are some that will use/take into consideration your overall GPA including non transferable courses.

I'm aiming for ucla bizecon next year

Well the trig course might affect you a little bit. If you read the link and go down to UCLA they say they use both your UC and overall GPA. But It is little tricky because it goes on to state that these are used for major preparation. So really you are going to have to interpret it yourself. But I don't it will really be that big of a deal either way so don't stress it.

thx for the quick response!

No problemo I hope it helped.
