I was wondering if colleges such as the Ivies, Stanford, Duke, MIT, etc recalculated your cumulative GPA without including 9th grade. My GPA would be 4.5 if they used 9th grade & 4.71 if they ignored 9th grade. Pls help?

I think for the schools higher up, they use 9th-11th grades into calculation. For UCs and probably some other schools, they don't include 9th grade.

All Ivies and other elite schools consider your 9th grade grades. So you're out of luck and stuck with your 4.5. Also, your 12th grade midyear report (assuming ur not EDing) carries a lot of weight--more so than any other semester. It stands to reason though: the closer the grades are to the present, the more weight they carry.
