Cumulative GPA

Hi, can someone tell me how to calculate my cumulative GPA from two different schools? One school was quarter based and the other is semester. What should I do to convert my quarter units to semester?

Typically, 1 semester credit unit = 1.5 quarter credit unit, or 1 quarter credit unit = 2/3 semester credit unit.

This is assuming that the semester school’s full time course load is about 30 credit units per academic year, and the quarter school’s full time course load is about 45 credit units per academic year.

Oh I see, and I can calculate my cumulative gpa by adding all the g.p. from both schools and divide them by the total units? Also, do I need to change the g.p. from the quarter system to semester system, or do I just add it as it says on my transcript?

You need to change the weights so that you are adding all quarter-units or all semester-units, as explained in the earlier answer.
