I had 3.0 GPA and my ACT score was 15 do have the chance to get in one the cuny colleges?
@Sagejj Im a transfer btw, and I called baruch and brooklyn they wont tell me lol
over the phone baruch said no decision has been made but to look out for an email this week from them. Meanwhile portal says decision made and the cuny hotline says baruch. I called another school on my list and the advisor goes “Baruch definitely made a decision I can tell you that”.
same here. they dont like to give admission decisions over the phone. even though my portal has stayed the same for months
It’s annoying I just want to know where I’m going to school next semester. I see a lot of people have said as a transfer the school that the hotline says is the one you get into so I’m optimistic !
@jaycom18 I know on the CUNY transfer sites it says to report your school choices in order of preference because transfer students will only get a decision back from one college. I’m assuming that means whichever college makes a decision and is highest in your preferences will be the one you hear from. If Baruch was your number one choice, I’d think you got in, but there’s no way to be sure until you hear from them. I waited over two weeks for my response from Hunter and they wouldn’t give me my decision over the phone either, it’s super frustrating.
Good luck!
@catdogs did u hear from them through the portal or only by calling the hotline? ive asked other ppl and they said results should be realeased this and next week
@exosehun Do you mean my admissions decision? I was emailed with my decision, and was accepted. I really wouldn’t rely on the portal too much because I was accepted to Hunter the first week of March and my portal still says I’ll hear from them soon hahaha. I know Hunter sends out their decisions on a rolling basis throughout April so when you applied and when they said they made a decision determines when you’ll get a decision back.
@catdogs thank you. Was hunter your first choice ?
@catdogs Did you emailed them or did they emailed you?
I wanted to email CUNY but What am I suppose to tell them?
@NaoNao18 Hunter emailed me with a decision. The school you have a decision from will email you with either an acceptance or rejection, CUNY usually does not give out these decisions over the phone or through email early. What does your portal say?
@jaycom18 Hunter was the only CUNY I applied to. I’m from Upstate so I applied mostly to SUNY schools.
@catdogs My portal don’t say anything like Nothing. I don’t know if I need to wait or just email them about it.
@NaoNao18 that’s really strange. It doesn’t say anything about supporting documents or that your application was received? I would maybe call or email them about that. You can always call the hotline and the machine will tell you your current status though, (212) 997-2869
@catdogs thank you I think I will try to do that
I actually emailed CUNY and they said my portal will change soon but it has been the same for like the past 4 months. IDK what to do. Whenever i call them they dont even pick up. Can any current CUNY student tell me if it actually takes this long? DO they actually mail out decisions in april too because i applied in december and the ones who applied after me already got in
@hamstargaming hey I emailed them too and they told me I would hear decisions by late april. I think they are generally incredibly slow due to high applications.
yeh it takes really long depending on the date u applied. when i called the lady told me transfer decisions should hear by next week or some even this week. idk at this point
@exosehun what school told you that ? Or was t CUNY ? A lady from CUNY told me I should know by the first week of April possibly sooner.
@jaycom18 same. a lady from cuny told me.
