Hey guys does any of you know you could change your major after being accepted? Btw I’m a freshmen applicant and idk why I applied for BUSINESSS COMMUNICATIONS lol, but now i wanna change my major to Finance. Is it possible that I get accepted as a business communications major and then transfer to zicklin school of business and major in finance?
and yeh one more thing, so i dont get this financial aid thing. So for example lets say i gotta pay 20,000$ for stony brook and fiefs gives me 5000$. Can i loan the rest of 15,000$ or do i gotta pay that by myself??
@hamstargaming you can 100% change your major, and to be honest I don’t know too much about financial aid.
“Your application has been completed and a decision made. However, we will not be contacting students until we get the next phase from the central office. That should be around the second week of April. At that time, we will send you an acceptance email followed by an acceptance letter and you will have the ability to submit a response form and pay the $100 deposit.”
I emailed them and this was the response I got. Fingers crossed !
Omg! I hate waiting!!! I have been waiting so long to see my processing status changing!!! And I have to wait for more?? CUNY sucks! Lol
lol waiting is easier said than done. I’m so impatient so it sucks lol. Can’t wait till I know if I’m in or not.

@jaycom18 yeh man fingers crossed and i think even if they reject us they should send us a rejection email too so I’m hoping we all get a response by the second week. Good luck guys.
Btw Im applying from Virignia so maybe thats y it took so long. Although i applied earlier they might be checking on outstate residents after they are done with instate. I guess…
@hamstargaming I don’t think they would know where the students apply to other university…
I gonna wait a little bit more and if I am rejected, then I will apply different school too 
@jaycom18 @hamstargaming Oh, btw guys, I recall that one of the candidates applied on 29th January, and he received rejected email. When did you guys apply? I apply a week earlier than him but I am waiting for the email.

Alright, guys! New info!
I just called to Baruch (which is my only choice) and the representative told me that I will definitely get an email by the middle of April. Also, she explained to me why CUNY’s processing is so slow because they order the candidates from September to a deadline. They group the candidates by applied date and they send the emails by grouped orders. In my case, I applied 23rd of January so that is why I will get the email in a middle of April. She told me that I will definitely receive the email so don’t worry about to not get accepted.
The representative was so nice and so helpful! and I am glad that I get in the Baruch!!
That’s great ! Hopefully I’m getting it the same timeframe. The advisor I last emailed said around the second week of April. Do you know the name of the advisor you spoke to ?
The lady in the email said a decision has been made and I’ll get an acceptance letter second week of April and explained the process after that. Hopefully that means I got in and that she wasn’t generally speaking lol.
