Im still waiting, and Ive been refreshing my email constantly. Why are they taking so long!
Guys im an international student and i applied id jan. My status says I need my transcript and my TOEFL score. IT hasnt said anything else. I already turned in my transcrpt and i thought the TOEFL score was unnecessary since I took english for all years as a main subject. I dont know when im going to be told anything, when email them all they said was that the application status will be updaed in 6-8 weeks.
Hey guys,
I applied in mid December and my application status still says “is complete and currently under review”. The waiting is driving me insane, plus I am waiting to drop a class until I hear from them, since they receive a notification that I’ve dropped something after I do so.
I applied to Queens, Brooklyn, City College, Hunter, Baruch, and BMCC.
How long did it take for most of you to have a status change after applying?
@locasio16 I believe what it says now is the last update, because It hasnt changed for me ever since I saw that mid February
And for everybody, can you please help me decide between Lehman and Queens College for computer science. I am also thinking City College, but as of now I haven’t gotten a decision from them. Please help!!
I applied to Baruch, City College, Hunter, and Queens on Jan 15.
Queens decision came first and I got accepted Feb 26, then City College on March 1st, and Baruch sent me my testing information for my math placement exam 2 days ago and I got my official acceptance email today at noon. Still no word from Hunter.
@preloref really your decision only took 1 month to come? I don’t know, I applied about Jan 15 too and still haven’t got anything.
Since I’m applying as international I guess there could be a delay with my documents to get there.
@ariestc I will be graduating from hs late June and I was wondering will i be getting a decisions from the colleges now or after I submit the diploma?
@JetLol97 Okay, I’m not too sure how different admissions circumstances are for international students since I live in New York but this is what I understood from something I just looked up.
For example, Hunter College. I saw some students from Thailand and other out of the country places already get accepted so I would say you should get you acceptance letters now similar to us in the states. But that’s just a guess, as said before I’m not too sure. I saw this in the international student website for Hunter though.
“To check on the status of your application, you can call (212) 997-2869, email the University Admissions office at aonline@mail.cuny.edu, or visit the CUNY Admissions Office, located at 217 E. 42nd Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenue, New-York, NY 10017-5706 (Located on the ground floor)”
@sanchshe you should send in your TOEFL scores it seems to be required for all schools https://www.cuny.edu/admissions/undergraduate/downloads/TOEFL-IELTS-Scores.pdf
@cuchito about a month and a half for Queens and City College, Baruch took almost two months for their decision.
I’m sure it’s a lot longer wait if you’re an international student.
for me, Queens and city took about 3 weeks after I sent in all apps, grades, scores and Hunter and Baruch took 2-2.5 weeks D: (applied late jan) are you all sure you have submitted everything?
I applied early December and received my acceptance to Hunter the first day they started coming out like mid February.
You guys are all lucky. I applied mid November and I have yet to hear from Baruch, Hunter and City. I guess you’re all just a lot smarter than me. Lol
actually no I’m pretty average. May I know what your stats are? Did you do the supplements for hunter and baruch? @Mdelga11
LOL my GPA was pretty bad, it’s definitely not because of your grades and stuff, and my SAT score was average.
Also did you do you essay for Hunter, maybe that’s what sped up the process.
l agree, I am also an average student lmao (gpa and sat score wise) I think it just all depends on what time you sent them in. all of my friends who sent in their applications in early November already got their decisions.
I sent in my essay to Hunter but idk if it helped the process or not.
@Snorlee I sent Hunter an essay and still haven’t heard back, I applied Jan 15 and my only CUNY left to send a decision is Hunter.
@sosoyumii My gpa is 89.6067 and my math + cr is 1100. I sent in my essay to Hunter but have not sent any supplement for Baruch as I was not aware of it. My guidance counselor said not to worry about anything else.
@Snorlee I did send an essay to Hunter
@ariestc I applied mid November and haven’t received a decision. Meanwhile, some people applied January and have already gotten accepted
@Mdelga11 well I got in with a ~79 average and 1250 (Reading + Math) for Hunter so its definitely not because of your grades.
I still haven’t got any decision letter from all CUNY’s, even though i applied on time
does anyone know if Baruch is still sending acceptances?
