@midnightluna oh you see where it says search posts type commitment and you should see it. You can also do a post yourself for any concerns.
I have yet to receive any notice of admission. I was told that I’ll receive notice in mid may. But isn’t that way past the commitment date? I really hope this does’t mean that I can’t attend at all 
Anyone know if it’s possible to start in the spring semester as a freshman? Should i need to defer the application.

I am transferring from a SUNY community college to a CUNY 4 year. I just called the CUNY hotline, and I was told that as a transfer student I will only get accepted into the school that I am most eligible for. I applied to Lehman, Hunter, and York. I really want to get into Hunter, hopefully I will get accepted. Now I am playing the waiting game, which is really driving me nuts.

Hi, yes it’s possible to start in spring as a freshmen. I didn’t get my acceptance yet and I thought of defering too but what if I don’t get accepted? So I’m gonna wait and see, won’t
@Que12sha10 I applied as a freshman but they changed it to a transfer for some reason. And I am not in any college or university at the moment for them to think i’m applying as a transfer. They also said the same thing to me about only getting accepted into one school.
@basile94 that is really unfortunate. You should call the hotline and ask them what you can do about the error.
I applied at the end of February for transfer admission and my application status still says “being reviewed.” I emailed Hunter admissions today so I am hoping to have an answer soon. Very worried about this. Could the lack of response mean I was rejected?
Anybody here knows how long does it take for a college to issue you the I-20 ?
@JetLol97 it depends on your school, some schools give you the form through a letter when they accept you and some schools do not send you an i-20 because they send you an email about your acceptance. So you just have to download the form online.
@sanchshe I think you misunderstood me. I got the I-20 request form with the acceptance email and i had to fill it up and send back the financial support documents which I did and now they have to review them right? So how long does this process take until they get back to me again with an issued I-20 so that I can apply for VISA?
Hi everyone! I’ve submitted my application to City College, Baruch, Hunter, College of Staten Island and Brooklyn… been patiently waiting for a yet to come decision from any of those colleges. As a foreign student…when should I expect the outcome of my application? How long should it take? Also, my understanding is that SAT scores are not required for international applicants…right? Cause I have not taken that test and I don’t think I will be able to take it anytime soon. I’ve sent my HS trancripts and TOEFL scores…but there is still no status on my application…
@danihto the SAT is required except City Tech and Brooklyn College and all Community Colleges as far as I know.
@danihito I’m an international student as well and I still didn’t recieve a decision but I did my SATs exam and I sent my score to them
Still have not received any news on my application…it just says to wait 8-10 weeks for a status update. It’s been about 10 weeks and still nothing…hoping they are still considering my app.
I still didn’t recieve an email and it’s been a while I’m waiting but still nothing, I’m an international student…is it just me or is someone else having this problem?
@ilovegreys123 hey I’m an international student too. I contacted admissions several times and they said that decisions should be out in May. Not sure if this is he final round or not. But I really hope I get a response soon! flight tickets are on promotion for advance booking and I wanna get it done asap 
@basile94 oh okay, I was thinking of contacting giving them a call today and ask when will decisions come out cuz it’s getting late and it takes time to do all the Visa stuff. I hope we both get accepted and if I do I’m really thinking of defering my acceptance to spring because I need to sort a lot of stuff out back home and that just means I’ll go prepared, do u think allow people to defer their acceptance?
@ilovegreys123 I know exactly how you feel! I think they do allow you to defer to another semester if you get accepted. I just checked my portal and a decision has been made for me. it says:
“Your application is complete.
An admissions decision has been made by the college(s) listed on your application.
You will receive notification from only one college choice shortly.”
I really hope that I get into Hunter!
