@basile94 I applied to city college only, and my portal hasn’t been updated it just says that the status below reflects my application for fall 2016 and nothing under it except for the colleges I requested
@michilada Submitted for transfer February 27…feel like something should be happening by now. Still nothing, and no response from admissions when I emailed to ask if my app was complete!
@kara2024 I submitted mine a few days after you… they also haven’t responded to my emails. I really hope they let us know if we’re in before July. I’m gonna be out of the country with no real access to internet from July to September 
I got into City College as a transfer! Finally! But I really wanna go to Hunter, so I’m gonna appeal

@michilada @kara2024 I applied around mid-March, I know that is way past the February 1st deadline but their website says they are still processing applications for the Fall 2016 term…
@danihto that’s okay! They have rolling admissions for a reason… I feel a lot better now knowing we’re all in the same boat. It took me a couple weeks to get all my supporting documents in too so I expect to get my decision around the same time as you.

Today after weeks of my application not updating, it changed from “Freshman” to “Transfer” and I have no idea why since I didn’t ask them to transfer any credits. Also all of my college choices disappeared from the list below the application status and I am not sure why…is someone or has someone been on a similar situation?
@danihto I would send them an email to have documented proof of the error; my college choices also disappeared but I did get an email from Hunter College for a supplemental essay so I assume they got my application.
@danihto That happened to me as well, applied as freshman and got changed to transfer. Apparently, they will transfer credits whether you want them to or not. The list of colleges disappeared for me as well. They said that it is nothing to worry about. They will appear again once they have reviewed your application further. However, only your first 4 choices will be displayed because transfers can only choose 4 instead of 6. Also, you will only receive a decision from 1 college. The first one that you are most eligible for, according to the manner you ranked them. Hope this helps?

@basile94 Congratulations! I just read that you got into City College…just a quick question…did you get accepted as a transfer international applicant? And as a transfer applicants we do not need to submit SAT scores right? How long did it took City College to send you an acceptance letter (or was it an email?)?
My portal finally updated and my college choices are listed and updated! It seems they are just waiting for one of my transcripts to arrive but it seems like I’m much closer to getting my decision.
@danihto Thank you I’m actually appealing for Hunter College right now. I got accepted to City College as an International Transfer (I’m from Singapore). I originally applied as a freshman, and I did send my SAT scores. I think they are required but not really sure. I applied in February and just got the email this week.

Hello, I applied transfer application for Fall 2016 in April. And the morning I logged into cuny portal, I found that I could not see the status of my application. Instead, the website jumped to the application for deferring my application to Spring 2017. I am so confused and worried now…
@tobykhai the exact same thing happened to me but on the top of the “deferring your application message” mine says “According to our records, you have already applied to The City University of New York for Fall 2016.” I will try and call them tomorrow to see what’s going on
