Even though it says they are missing one of my transcripts and one of my colleges was processed wrong (reason why I submitted the application correction form). It is supposed to be monroe community college but they have it as monroe college bronx. The website still says my application is complete and under review. This is so strange hope it does not impact me negatively. I plan on calling them tomorrow.
Hi guys, so just logged into my cuny first account and after months of my application just saying “you application is under review” it has now changed to " your application is complete and is under review" has anyone else noticed this on their own application ?
Mine says that as well now (I don’t think it said that yesterday)! I think it was simply a matter of waiting a certain amount of weeks after all my supporting documents were submitted.
“Your Application is Under Review”
This means your application is incomplete!
Please look at “Item List” and “Schools and Transcripts” to see what is missing.
“Your Application is Complete and Under Review”
"This means what it appears to mean.
And also…even when a student is denied this will remain the message.
Students should check their email for a denial."
“Your Application is Complete. You Have Been Admitted”
YAY!
My status says ‘Your application is complete and being reviewed’.Does it have another meaning?
I don’t think so. That’s exactly what mine says too. I guess they might’ve just changed the sentence around this time? Maybe saying ‘complete and under review’ rather than ‘complete and being reviewed’ was something they did in previous semesters.
Probably don’t need to think about it beyond that.
They got my last transcript today! How long does it normally take for a decision?
I haven’t received a decision yet. My application currently says “complete and being reviewed.” Kinda scared that I’m not going to get in.
I have a 3.88 college GPA and a 1200 SAT. Applying as a transfer to Hunter for Nursing and a transfer to Brooklyn College for Biology. Is there any chance that I could get in?
@yetibeti992 I’m not sure. But on that note which school are you transfering from?
Hey guys, I checked my cunyfirst today and I’ve seemingly been admitted to bmcc! (Its says your application is complete.you have been admitted) the other colleges status just says “your application is complete and is being reviewed” . I’m not going to wait as bmcc was my first choice so I’m going to go ahead and accept the offer . Best of luck guys
@123_stallion Congratulations!
My transfer application to Queens College still says “Your application is complete and being reviewed.”
makes sense that community college admittances get decided earlier (at least a couple weeks earlier, assuming that what was said earlier about late October/early November being the general time period to expect admissions decisions, are accurate)
Update: Brooklyn College accepted me!!! I’m so excited!
mine says “complete and under review.”
you should hear something by now i should think
Hey, I just got accepted as a transfer from Hunter to Brooklyn, I accepted the offer. When will my CUNY reflect that decision? When I click on anything, like signing up for classes or looking through DegreeWorks, all of it still only shows Hunter.
Is there a way to switch between the two colleges on CunyFirst until the end of the semester? Will it automatically switch over at the end of this semester?
Thank you
Mine still says “Your application is complete and being reviewed.” though I only started in early August and finished everything in mid-August.
@highlystressed01 @healthiem : When did you start and finish your application?

based on the thread from last year, the first poster who got admitted to a 4-year college found out on October 25 that they were admitted to Baruch. Could be different this year. Same poster ( @Horihoriholololo ) applied on June 1. I wonder about the extent at which one’s application date matters. I’m sure it matters if it’s close to the deadline, but I don’t think there should be a huge distinction between, say, 4 months prior vs 5 months prior.
and there’s another user ( @reddituser25 ) who submitted their transfer on August 31 , was admitted to Brooklyn College on October 30, then admitted to Queens College on October 31
and there are others who were admitted in the first week of November, throughout November, and some admitted in December. And apparently it’s possible to be admitted as late as mid-January of next year, though I’m guessing that’s mostly from community colleges and maybe the 4-year colleges that aren’t as sought after (e.g. City Tech).
So if you aren’t admitted in mid-October, don’t worry – that’s probably earlier than average. Late October and early November are the most common. If you haven’t been admitted yet, you can still be admitted in December, though if it’s approaching Christmas time that’s when you should start really worrying.
@OlderQCTransfer My application was submitted Sept 12 and they got my last document October 8th last week.
I wonder if it’s because Brooklyn College generally accepts students earlier than the other ones.
