Congrats! When did you apply and send supporting documents?
Hello everyone I got accepted to Baruch .Going to accept it cause it was my preferred one.Best of luck to you all
CONGRATULATIONS!
When did you apply?
Nice, so did you find out yesterday at around 3pm (Oct 27) or was the email sent even before that?
How many of yâall getting impatient for your decisions lol
Hope we all start hear something from somewhere this week given past decision dates
Yeah, given that in past years, Queens College seems to have notified people of admissions just a day or so after the other CUNY colleges, I check CUNYfirst every day. I suppose Iâll find out first via email if they do notify me via email.
Iâm also guessing that people only first get notified on weekdays, not weekends.
hi guys i hadnt written in here but used this thread for reference a lot. i just got accepted to john jay and although i dont think anyone else applied there i figured the timeline might help! i applied on july 11th and finished the application the same day, my cunyfirst did not say it was complete and under review until october 5th. my cunyfirst changed to let me know i had been admitted on october 22nd at around 3pm. i had checked that morning and was not admitted yet. then i received an acceptance email on october 24th. good luck everyone !
Thank you very much for the helpful info, I plan on making a separate thread titled âGuide to CUNY Transfer Admissionsâ after all is said and done, and info like this is very helpful for that.
By the way, if thereâs anyone reading this who has already been accepted into Queens College for Spring 2020, post to let us know. Right now Iâm guessing they still havenât made any admissions decisions yet.
Queens College told me that admissions will be sent out âlater this month.â
That could mean todayâŠtomorrow, next week, etc. It does seem that they didnât bother admitting anyone on any October date this year.
Admitted to Queens College. I donât know when I did, but I checked just a few minutes ago. Good luck to everyone on decisions!
I was admitted today too, some time after last night (Sunday night) and Monday afternoon (today). So Iâm guessing it was sometime in the morning of today, Monday, 11/04/2019 (some time before 1PM at least; likely some time before 11:10AM according to Zaykhuâs post). An interesting thing to note is that I havenât received an email about it yet, so an important takeaway is that YOU MIGHT BE ADMITTED HOURS BEFORE EVEN RECEIVING AN EMAIL ABOUT IT
Iâll post in here again once I receive an email about it.
Hereâs the rough timeline of my application process
August 8, 2019: Started the application. Filled out the pertinent information regarding my time at Queensborough Community College (where I got an associates degree in Engineering Science; GPA: 3.917). Filled out the pertinent information regarding high school (got a GED in early 2014). Filled out the rest. Paid the application fee.
August 9-12: Worked on getting my Queensborough transcripts mailed and got my GED transcript mailed, both to UAPC.
Some time between then and September 6, 2019: CunyFirst had a weird OraclePeoplesoft Error that was unfixable for over a week until I waited it out. I noticed that once it started working again, CUNYfirst had updated to show that my SAT scores and transcripts were received. Maybe that was connected.
October 7, 2019: CUNYfirst changes from âYour application is under reviewâ to âYour application is complete and being reviewedâ
November 4, 2019: Some time during the morning (likely before 11:10AM), I got admitted to Queens College for Mathematics - the only one I applied to. It has changed to âYour application is complete. You have been admitted.â
âCongratulations! You have been admitted to Queens College. To accept this offer of admission and reserve your place in the upcoming semester, please respond by the date specified in your offer of Admission.â
I am now about to accept the offer.
I hope all the information Iâve posted in this thread so far was helpful to those whoâve read it, and will be helpful to those who read it in the future.
Note: From what I can tell, no one had been admitted to Queens College for Spring 2020 before November 4, 2019. It seems today was the first possible day for Spring 2020. In previous years where they seem to have admitted earlier, my guess is that if I followed the same application timeline, I might have been admitted on the âfirstâ day for previous years (e.g. some time in mid to late October).
I just received an email from them at 7:21PM.
"Dear (my name),
Congratulations! On behalf of the faculty, staff, and administration at Queens College of The City University of New York, I am delighted to offer you admission to our Transfer class for the Spring 2020 semester. We commend you on your impressive level of academic achievement.
For 81 years, Queens College has been one of the nationâs leading institutions for academic excellence and student achievement⊠(yadayadayada)"
So basically, I got admitted some time before 11:10AM today and got an email about being admitted at 7:21PM. This means that for future reference, itâs likely youâll be admitted hours before you receive the email. Doesnât really make any difference other than being able to tell others youâve been admitted as early as possible.
I applied for transfer to Brooklyn, Hunter, Queens, and City college of NY, in september 6, they received my application/transcript on the 23rd of September, then I received 3/4 decisions from Brooklyn,Hunter, and Queens like last week. They all accepted me, though I choose to go with Brooklyn College for Computer Science.
Guys does anyone know the next procedures after you accept offer from Baruch?
HI ALL. I applied to City Tech, Hunter, and City College for Biology. My GPA was not great as a transfer student. 2.6 basically. But that was years ago and all my math/science classes were B and above.
Got denied by City College
Accepted by Hunter.
Have not heard from City Tech.
I have accepted the offer from Hunter College and will be attending in Spring 2020.
So excited considering i got denied by City college but accepted to Hunter (which i prefer anyway)
was anyone accepted to Baruch here Iâve been trying to figure out the next steps after getting accepted and Iâve got no answer. I have even tried to call and no one has answered and left a couple of emails.
