I applied to various CUNY schools through the Macaulay Honors College in October for the Fall of 2014 and it’s February now and I still don’t have an answer. I honestly wouldn’t be as worried as I am if it weren’t for the fact that I’m watching other CUNY applicants, who applied later than me, receiving their admissions letters. Brooklyn is my dream college and I’m just really worried that maybe this means that I didn’t get in.

When I log onto the CUNY portal website it doesn’t say anything about the colleges reaching a decision and when I call the automated number all I hear is that my application is complete. I haven’t received a letter from any of the CUNY schools :(.

Has anyone else received their admissions letters? Or are you in the same boat as me?

I’m like in the same boat as you, except I applied for regular admission. It 's so frustrating to see other people get accepted to CUNY and i’m there like yeah still waiting… My CUNY portal, also doesn’t say anything about the colleges reaching a decision. ahhh the struggle…

I applied through Macaulay also (though I’m not going) and Macaulay isn’t going to send out their decisions for a while. People may be talking about the regular college acceptances- I got mine for Brooklyn and Queens already (not Hunter, which is my Macaulay college). If you didn’t get an email, check your spam folders- I know my Brooklyn admit emails ended up there.
If you didn’t get anything at all, neither did my friend so you’re not alone :). My guidance counselor said not to flip out for another week, so…
GOOD LUCK!

I’m trying not to get upset but it’s a little discouraging. Thank you though! I’m honestly not too pressed about getting into the Macaulay program, I just really want to know whether or not I’ve been accepted into Brooklyn. I guess I’ll just wait some more, aaah.

I too applied through Macaulay. I know the decision for that program will come out some time in March, but i have not received ANY acceptance letters for general admission to CUNY schools. I applied to several CUNY schools, including Brooklyn but yet to receive anything from them. I’ll give it another week…

Macaulay comes out March 15, I already knew that. I just wanted to know my general admission status. I am out of state so, that might be why it’s taking so long. I was the last to hear from a lot of the other schools I applied to. I’ll just feel a lot better once I have /something/.

Just got my acceptance from Hunter and York! I think that’s all of the colleges I applied to in CUNY now. Have you guys been checking your e-mails? Because I’ve only gotten one physical acceptance letter in the mail so far - the rest have all been through my e-mail.

@brianajwat- Same here. It should come around this week.

I hope John Jay’s comes this week… feels like it’s been forever. I remember e-mailing them before and they said if it doesn’t come by the end of February to call them.

I don’t really know what to say. I applied to Hunter, City, Queens, Brooklyn, Medgar Evers and Baruch and have received all acceptance letters pretty swiftly (except for Queens, which was a rejection, but I had no intention of going there as a first choice anyways). I would most definitely call them if you don’t get anything by next week.

Yeah, I will have to give them a call if i don’t receive them be next week.
Also, has your CUNY portal changed since receiving the acceptance letters?

Mine just shows the date i submitted and under " The status below reflects your application for the Fall 2014 semester," nothing is stated there.

Thats the same message I’ve had for weeks/months. I e-mailed them as soon as that showed up and they said if you don’t receive an letter regarding admission by the end of February to e-mail/call them. I just e-mailed them asking if this week or next we’ll receive something. I’ll update this thread if anything happens [mainly talking about john jay but can apply to other cuny’s also]

Just as a point of reference, I have received acceptances from City College, Brooklyn, Hunter, Baruch and Queens at this point in time. I also applied through the Macaulay Honors College application. I completed my application in late November.

Well I e-mailed them thursday also. So we’ll find out soon enough if we’re getting them this week. [in reference to john jay and perhaps other cuny’s]
