CUNY and accounting

Sorry for bringing this question back if it's one of those common questions.

I'm currently at Queens College and I'm thinking about transferring to Baruch if it's going to be better for me once I graduate. However, Queens College is also AASCB accredited. Does this mean that I should receive about an equal education at Queens? Or is Baruch just one of those choices that eliminates the rest of the choices? I know accounting courses should be similar because of the AASCB, so that's why I ask.

My main reason for wanting to stay at Queens is because I live less than a mile or so away from the school, and I walk every school day. Input?

Also, I'd like to know if anyone is a current accounting major student, or has graduated as an accounting major from either of these schools. How was the faculty there? How well did they teach? Was the commute a hassle?

You’ll have better quality employers at job fair, a bit more competitive students, and friends from the more prestigious schools in the city (NYU, Fordham, Columbia, CCNY). For accounting, Baruch is definitely a better choice and the city will give you access to a lot more resources.
