CUNY Brooklyn for film

Hi! I'm looking to hear from people about what their experiences were like at CUNY Brooklyn. I am trying to decide between there, SUNY Purchase, and SVA. Do you still get a lot of hands on experience even though Brooklyn is a B.A. compared to the other schools BFA's? Also, I was wondering if they allow for you to take classes outside your major, as I'm interested in taking a couple of acting and english classes. Although it is a commuter campus, is there a lot of clubs available in the realm of the arts? Thank you!

Speaking for a sibling. She majored in TV Radio at Brooklyn College and it was the best experience of her life. It was very hands on. There were tons of opportunities to use equipment and to work on campus stations. It’s not exactly the same as film, but there are extraordinary opportunities there :)

Thanks for the info! Was she able to get a job in tv radio after graduating?

Yes! She was able to grab a job at NBC and she did some producing. They prepared her very well
