Are you applying as a freshman? If so, according to the Baruch ask-a-question thing which is just easier than reading through everything, the average GPA/SAT for the “entering” class of 2009 (which may mean that this data is seriously out-of-date so take it with a grain of salt) was an 87.4/1200 (out of 1600). So your GPA is rather low and your SAT seems low but without a breakdown I can’t tell.

If you’re applying as a transfer student the minimum GPA is a 2.75 (although the more credits you have, the lower this gets) and if you transfer in with less than 24 credits you must include your HS transcript and SAT scores. You make this cut-off but not with a lot of room to spare.

Honestly, I would consider Baruch more of a reach for you, but you should still apply if you really like it. Also, for IT, wouldn’t a more technical school be a better fit for that major? Baruch is mostly a business school.

Have you considered City College?

@ caemin
yeah you’re absolutely right
My guidance recommended it to me
since I wanted to do something with it & networking maybe with business
something along those lines.

As of right now, my cr + math = 1150
I’m taking the SATs again to bring it up to a 1200+

I did some research & entering class of '10 has
GPA = 88.3
SAT CR/M = 1237/1600
