Hi guys, I failed a course at my college in my spring 2016 semester. I took the same course again spring 2017 and received an A grade. However, on my degree works the F is still calculated in my GPA. As far as I know, once you retake a failed course, if you get a C or higher, the F will no longer be calculated in the GPA. Does it automatically change or do I have to notify the registrar, that I took the same class again and got an A?
It seems like the original F should be removed from the GPA calculation unless you have done this too many times before. You can only expect 16 credits of Fs to be removed from the GPA.
