CUNY Honors vs. SUNY Geneseo

It's down to the wire and I'm tossing around in my mind the benefits of each. I had intended to go away for a nice change of pace, but I think the CUNY Honors program locally has a lot to offer. With CUNY Honors, I would be given great personal attention and extra incentives (laptop, stipend) along with the full tuition, but with Geneseo I would be around a lot more bright people (as opposed to 20) and getting the full college experience. It would be great to graduate college with money in the bank, but I don't want to deny myself an experience. So either way, there are sacrifices to be made.

I was also considering SUNY Binghamton and Syracuse-Newhouse (with small scholarship), but I narrowed down my list to two for quality-of-life and financial reasons.

have you visited geneseo? if you're a city kid, it'd be a big change -its about 45 minutes outside of Rochester in a VERY rural area - very pretty campus on a hill -- but think long and hard about how you feel about being in a rural community vs. being in the city since that would be a huge difference between the two.
when i was going to college, i couldn't wait to get out of a city and enjoyed being somewhere i could see the stars at night -- but you have to think about whether the city vs. rural is an issue for you.
