I am applying for transfer to Hunter college for the Fall 2017 semester. I am an out of state student and I keep hearing about the limited number of dorms that Hunter College has. Will it be hard for me to find on campus housing?
FYI, flagged your post so that the mods will move it to a more appropriate section of the forum. I doubt you’ll get much help with CUNY Hunter dorms in the Brown University section.
Stephen, I’m in the same situation. I’m a sophomore at a philadelphia-area community college and I applied to Hunter as a transfer. I’ve read up as best as I can on the housing situation, and everyone I’ve talked to both via e-mail and on the phone at the college has more or less told me the same thing: keep a close eye on the housing application page on the website and apply as soon as you humanly can once it opens. Honors college students get first priority, and after that, housing is given on a first come-first serve basis. My only concern is as to whether or not i’ll get an admissions decision prior to the opening of the application. Best of luck to you, & let me know if you hear anything!
Hello! I am currently a student at Hunter College and was wondering if you were able to get housing, and if not, do you still desire to go to Hunter? I am not able to stay for the Spring semester (out-of-state tuition plus room and board is too expensive for me at the moment), so there will be an opening at their 79th Street dorm.
