What are the top CUNY schools? and what are the top SUNY schools? also, except for the top accounting colleges, are all college accounting programs similar?

Geneseo is underrated, Buffalo is popular.

The numbers have changed slightly and there are different score ranges for different criteria; general admission, EOP, honors (I just don't have the CUNY #s at hand). I would just refer a person to the SUNY Information Summaries for 2008-2009

CUNY or SUNY- would it be utter folly to choose a CUNY say Hunter over SUNY say Buffalo- just to attend college from home than as a resident?

No, it is not utter folly if you are doing what you feel is best for you and your situation.

^^ collegehelp – where’s Stony Brook on your list?

Stony Brook University, as they now call themselves, is 1090-1270, just below SUNY Binghamton.

You miss a lot of the college experience if you commute.

This is what I see at the SUNY site…

Back to sybbie 719. Thanks for replying. I know what I want- a college where I can do an undergrad from home enough to get a grad admission and later a job- but I donot know enough about say Hunter Vs Buffalo chem course. Hunter location suits me as it is in NY proper but I hear adverse things about CUNY normal undergrad academics ( as opposed to its Honours) -that they are just a joke or equivalent to a CC college and with poor adm staff and temporary teachers etc. Just donot know how to assess the value of these comments- are all this just a matter of perspective. Can annnyone out there help with the truth? Pulleeese.
