If I applied by September 15th for both systems, what will be the earliest possible date I receive some sort of decision?

I applied in Sept as well for 4 SUNYS. They don’t let you know until January at the earliest

It depends on the one you applied to most are November.

same boat. I applied really early, july or something.
When i have asked, they’ve said the end of october.

I applied around mid July. Online says my application is completed and that an admissions decision has been made. I called the automated CUNY hotline and it says that I should receive a notification within 2 weeks and at the end it says Baruch. So does that mean I got accepted to Baruch?

all 4 of us, stats?

Dont know you go to COrnell Nerdlings? Why do you want to transfer?

I’m asking for a friend, actually! We’ve been counting down the days…

I love Cornell too much to leave (:

I got a paper from Oswego today saying it will take 2 weeks once they get everything to make decision and that the first batch of acceptance/rejections are sent out in mid-October(now).

Oooh excellent! The application status says that it’s still being reviewed… I’m afraid of what this might mean, though it might be because he recently submitted additional information

I applied to Stony Brook, Bing, and Paltz. Paltz sent me a acceptance letter a month ago lol. That was my safety. Though if I get accepted to any of them I will be withdrawing my application because I was accepted to my first choice, Rutgers University :D.

I have no idea why I thought it was January then…I must of misread that somewhere. Sorry for the wrong info! I applied to Oswego, Fredonia, Plattsburgh, and Cortland back in early September, and mine have been sent but are not deemed “in process” yet. I’m out of state, I have no idea if that makes a difference with anything as far as time goes.

Edit:
As for Stats I’d be transferring from Belmont University (private school in Nashville,TN) with a 2.76 GPA and 71 credits completed. I know that GPA is a laugh to most, but I work over 50 hours a week while going to school full time, which I’ve written to schools about, hoping that will be taken into consideration…also have great EC’s (Amnesty International, Internships, PRSSA, Volunteer work, International Business Society)

PRQuin - 2.76 is fine and you will get into every school you applied for sure…Im hoping to get into Oswego with a 1.96 with 33 credits but this semester I have close to a 4.0 so I hope they ask for mid semester grades.

^I was hoping it would be fine, it seemed from stats it would. If they don’t ask for them maybe try explaining somewhere how much your gpa went up because obviously that’s valued information compared to before.

I’m from NJ originally…Not high enough grades for TCNJ, so uninterested in Rutgers for so many reasons…so SUNY system here I come haha. Love my school now, but private school tuition is through the roof these days.

PRQuin: do you got to Seton Hall?

^Nope… I go to Belmont University in Nashville, TN

Replying to my own post, I did get my acceptance letter to Baruch for Spring 2012 transfer today. Woohoo! So don’t worry CUNY hotline doesn’t lie! LOL

congrats humpsita!

Congrats on that
As an update for others, I submitted my SUNY applications in September and Oswego sent me a packet saying they will start to let people know Jan 15th (if applying for Fall 2012)

@PRQuin: I thought you went to a college in jersey. well, you could still try to get into a college in jersey and try to get a tag grant.

congrats humpsita!
