CUNY / SUNY transfer decisions?

Got accepted into Geneseo last week. Currently a sophomore at another SUNY with a 3.29 gpa. Which made it that more surprising because I thought my chances were slim.

Now I’m just waiting on Bing and Baruch.

@stargurl93, exactly. haha

@sjmoon: You will definitely get into Bing and Baruch if you apply early/on time.

@lisstenup: I see. But if you are looking for grad, then you could stay at a CUNY school for grad or a private school.

How long did it take for Oswego to update things like when they received transcripts and mid semester grades on the appstatus website? I mailed mid semester grades on the 4th and it still says they haven’t received them

any updates from Baruch??

Any chance I get into Oswego with a 1.96 with 33 credits last year when I went away to school(had too much fun) and a 3.26 so far this semester at local CC…it ends up being around a 2.35 if you count this year and there website says you need a 2.3.

It now says “Your application for admission has been reviewed. You will receive an admission decision soon.” Does that mean i got accepted/rejected or do I just wait for the mail?

I applied Stony brook by the end of September, it has been one and half month now, the SOLAR still said :Your application is currently being processed. We will contact you if we are missing any items needed to render a decision. What happend!!!

Got my acceptance letter from bingham to Harper A&S as a biochem major. Will put that in the schools not attending with Stony Brook and New Paltz. :)

I applied to binghamton and baruch and have yet to hear back from them …

I had applied back in august with a 3.5 GPA and 35 credits completed

@Scienceguy1 what was your gpa?

I am hoping to transfer to one of the SUNYs in the fall, but it sounds like everybody already applied? I am a freshman at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, so I won’t even have my first quarter grades until mid December. Will that be too late? I am a Political Science major, so where do yall suggest I apply? What should my GPA be? Since I’m from Cali I don’t know much about the schools out there, so any insight would be much appreciated. :slight_smile: Oh, also, is it harder to get in as a transfer from another university rather than a community college? What about out of state, is that more difficult? Thanks!

@love apply to bing for poly sci, I’m actually from California as well!
@other guy my gpa was a 3.37 as a biochem major and an OOS student.

Online I can see my financial aid stuff…does that mean I got in?

Thanks Scienceguy! I will def apply there. :slight_smile: Where in Cali are you from? Where are you transferring from?

Pmed you
10char

Oswego.edu/appstatus has now said a decision has been made and will be mailed shortly since the 16th…what the **** is going on??

Whatsup people, I applied to both Binghamton(SUNY) and Baruch(CUNY), I attend a community college in Brooklyn, NY where I will be graduating in January. My intended major is Finance and Management, I did not however apply straight to SOM, I applied to Harpur then I would be doing a IUT from Harpur to SOM. What do you think? Should I do that or should I go to Baruch?

I still did not hear from them, I applied on August 17th for both systems and EOP. Anybody get any answers from Bing???

My gpa = 3.5/35 credits completed…Do I have a shot at Bing? and should I go to harpur and attempt an IUT??

Thanksss

Rsal, if it helps, I got into Bing with a 3.53 in physics (but that’s after 60+ credits).

So I think you have at least a puncher’s chance.

I got into Oswego with a 1.96 at york college of pa last year and 33 credits…and mid semester grades of C+,B,A,A-,B+ at local CC…and will %100 be attending in the spring.
