(CUNY) Will Transferring Colleges hinder my chances into medical school admission?

Brooklyn College still has not reviewed my application yet but I do however have an acceptance from City College of Technology. Im looking to transfer from City Tech to Brooklyn College after the first year to continue my pre medical studies. Will the transfer hinder my chances in medical school admissions and is transferring worth it. I heard Brooklyn College is a top 3 CUNY for pre medical studies and Im looking to obtain a BS in Biology which City Tech does not offer. So lets say I dont get accepted into Brooklyn, is it still possible to get that BS Biology if I do transfer to brooklyn and will it hinder my medical school admission from transferring a 4 year college to another 4 year? I plan on taking the MCAT the end of my junior year

There are some people on this board much more knowledgeable about med school admissions than I am, but I have never heard anywhere that transferring from one reputable 4 year institution to another will hinder your application. Make sure that you make personal connections with the teachers at whatever school you end up. You will need excellent letters of recommendation. Also, make sure that you have all the non-academic requirements for med school: Clinical hours, volunteering in the community, doctor shadowing. Many students neglect these important extras and find they can’t get into medical school even with good grades and Mcat scores.

Good luck!

@XenithX2 Yes, it is possible to transfer and get MD admission. Though in general best to stick with the right college and focus on UG. What is the driving force behind Biology major (if that is the driving force to think about transfer later).
Did you explore any other majors which are offered at CityTech. It appears just by name they may offer majors which may beneficial for your Plan B. See if they have anything like BioInfomatics, Data science, Public health etc.
You can do any major to get MD and not just Biology.
