Cupcakes for D's birthday

Does anyone have a great recommendation for a place in Wellesley that will deliver a box of cupcakes to my D's dorm for her upcoming birthday? Any other suggestions - maybe things your parents had delivered to you that was a great eating treat.

Also, balloons would be fun - any suggestions there?

You can order a cake through the Wellesley food service, which we did for our DD last year. They were really helpful and the cake was nicely decorated. There is an order form online, but I called them (the phone number is at the bottom of the web page linked, below) and they were able to get it done with less than 5 days notice (which is what the order form said was needed). One of her friends picked it up and they all shared it after dinner on her birthday. I can’t remember what the cost was, but I know it was MUCH less expensive than having something delivered from a local bakery–and much easier, I think.

Great question. Yes, you can order cakes and bakery items from Wellesley dining services. You can also get them delivered from Roche Brothers or from bakeries like Susu. Other popular options are balloons, stuffed animals, Edible Arrangements (they have some that include stuffed animals, balloons, etc), and cookie bouquets.

Giant boxes of m&ms, fruits, or items from home (cultural foods difficult to find in Boston or even a local favorite candy/food) are also great.

Thanks guys!!! Ordered a cake from school bakery!!!

Yay! I’m sure she and her friends will all enjoy it :)
